Stand Firm

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows...let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. Galatians 6:7,9-10

Dear friends, do not let the money-grubbing, politically-correct, fear-hyping media sway you from what you know is right! The refugee/immigrant situation is not an "either-or" but a "both-and" opportunity. Yes, of course, we (as Christ-followers and as the USA) are to help those refugees in need (and I am fully aware that we have a sitting president that, arguably, turned a blind eye while hundreds, thousands of Christ-followers were being slaughtered in the Middle East) and at the same time we are to employ a vetting process to ensure that we are doing our best to nurture and care for those closest to us...no one, intentionally, allows a poisonous snake to be a playmate for their child, or a bigoted, hating, zealot, to poison the mind of another for the purpose of terrorizing or hurting another.

For my believing friends, stand firm in the faith. Be confident in Christ. Live both charitably and with God-sense (dependent on the leading of the Spirit). As we do so, our actions will reflect the mercy and justice of Christ, and we and others will be both a blessing and blessed.

All God's best this day and every day!
