Holy Discontent

Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit." John 3:5-6

The line is fine between appreciating material things and the worship of them, but the divide is great between contemporary contentment and eternal peace. One begins with instant gratification and the other holy discontentment.

Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless. As goods increase, so do those who consume them. And what benefit are they to the owner except to feast his eyes on them? The sleep of a laborer is sweet, whether he eats little or much, but the abundance of a rich man permits him no sleep. Ecclesiastes 5:1

The real, meaningful, and true purpose of your life is discovered by "losing" everything else in the presence of God.
