Abiding in Christ

I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. John 15:1-2

Sovereign God, how great is your name! Let this day be filled with all the hope and promise of the risen Lord. Free us from doubt, confusion, hardness of heart and fill us with the fragrant fruit of your Holy Spirit. Gives us wisdom to see the pain of others and to share the uplifting word, knowing that you, God, are the caretaker of souls, saint and seeker alike. Only you, Lord, are author and perfecter of our faith. You create, redeem, and sanctify. We surrender with grateful hearts this day our need to be in control and embrace the love of Christ and the grace that has the power to change the world...
