His Ways Above the World’s Ways

 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. Col. 2:8-10

Awesome God, with eyes wide open we walk into this day fully expectant and dependent on your grace! Free us Lord from leaning on the ways of the world and the promised abundance of wealth which shackle us through the false hope of, "if I only had this" or, "if I could simply get that." 

You and you alone, Holy One are good and gracious, the Creator and Redeemer, Yahweh and Elohim, maker of all things new and beautiful. We will praise you this day through kindness and generosity, with eyes filled with the light of Christ!

May the work of the Spirit be...in me, in you, and the world grow in the knowledge and love of the Almighty....
