Righteous in Christ

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Matthew 5:6

I used to believe "being right" in the matters of the world were most important, and then I realized I could never get "it" or "anything" right enough. Neither fatalism nor nihilism seemed very attractive.

There is likely a good reason for the expression, "the mystery of faith". After twenty-two years of being a Christ-follower, despite all my human and worldly efforts and tendencies to pick up the mantle for determining righteousness, in spite of my best intentions to not do just that, I confess:

The only and truest sense of "righteousness" that I know in my mind, body, and spirit, is only in, of, and through Jesus Christ.

"Lord, fill my hunger and quench my thirst."
