Fear

Everywhere you turn, one entity or another is intentionally, or even un-intentionally using fear to confuse, or lead you in a specific way to create a particular outcome or to evoke a particular response.

Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. 1 John 4:18

I'll be the first to confess, "I am not perfected in love." I do believe that the One living in me is greater than the one (who comes in many ways, shapes, and forms) living in the world. 

I pray, today, for you and myself that I will not be swayed or tempted to fall prey to fear-mongers. I pray that I will not use fear as a tool to obtain or maintain a particular outcome or condition.

Give me Jesus...truth in love, hope in fellowship, faith in service...
