Trust
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.
Psalm 118:8
Do not be dismayed nor discouraged by this truth. Any sense of discomfort that this word might bring stems from a point of pride - having the understanding that someone, anyone, including yourself is an object of perfection, whether in whole or in part.
Allow yourself the freedom from sporadic or continuos disappointment as you appoint (give credit for the job or role) to the very One, the only One, who knew you while you were yet in your mother's womb, the very One who created the heavens and the earth - God!
It is right and good and a joyful thing to be freed from putting your trust in "man" - trust in God!
In doing so, the Spirit of God will work in you to know and feel compassion for others, to see their pain and to minister to their needs - to have and be hope-filled for their future!
Jesus said, "Trust in God and trust also in me."
