Trials

In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. John 16:33

No one is immune, not one amongst us; trials will come and trials will go and trials may stay.

People talk about theology as if it is only a field for academics or clergy. Truly, everyone has, and is, a living theology - a way of understanding and living out one's relationship with God, and subsequently, with others.

There is no area of one's life that is not influenced by your theology! Life's tribulations have a telling way of revealing the condition and character of your relationship with God..."but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world" Jesus said.

Dear Jesus, you teach me to smile in the face of adversity. You forgive my shortcomings and redirect my spirit to be in step with yours.

Your love precious God is unfathomable on so many levels yet I know it, live it, and embrace it in so many wondrous and delightfully small ways each and every day through family and friends.

Today, Holy God, my joy is complete in your amazing grace, the future is bright, and I will gladly accept the great privilege and responsibility of being a disciple of Jesus Christ -because He lives, I, too, shall live…
