His Voice

My heart has heard you say, "Come and talk with me." And my heart responds, "Lord, I am coming." Psalm 27:8

Oh how sweet the day to hear the Shepherd's voice. On this day, I reflect on the first time that I heard His voice. And, the first time I believed and knew God was talking to me. He said, "Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. David, come to me."

True rest, peace, and power lies not in the absence of hard work, conflict, or infirmity; Rather, rest, peace, and power are rooted and nurtured in the One who calls each of us to find ourselves, our truest identity, in Him.

We will praise you Lord Jesus in our coming and going. May all our words and deeds this day be the purest expression of the love that we have and know in you...that others may glimpse into your window of eternal love..
