Transforming Love

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ - to the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1:9-11

Holy holy holy God, all wisdom, goodness, and righteousness are yours. Free me, free my brothers and sisters, from the fruitlessness of despair. Convict my mind of the purity of your intended will. Let me grow, sovereign God, in the knowledge of you so that all fear is driven from my heart. Truly, you will not leave me nor forsake me. Truly, with you, God, all things are possible. Truly, no greater love has one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You, Lord Jesus, have done just this! And you have called me friend. Father, I have done nothing to earn this gift. In your love, by your grace, you have forgiven all the times I have, in my ignorance, or in my arrogance, or in my stupidity, stood on the pinnacle of self-righteousness casting stones at another that has only left me with bruises and an aching heart. Heal me O Lord. Heal my brothers and sisters gracious God. Hear my hearts cry to heal your Church, King of kings and Lord of lords, that all the nations, on bended knee will sing your praises and know your glory....
