The Presence of God

"God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth...though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being...Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. Acts 17:22-29

Two things are needed, on our part, to be in the presence of God: first, a repentant heart; second, the desire to be in God's presence.

God's grace - the presence, pardon, and power of God the Father in God the Son through God the Spirit has already moved in the world so that the world, each person, might know our need of God, and know God.

God, as One who participates in God's creation, is available to all, for all, and in all...

The repentant heart and desire to be in God's presence...brings us to the feet of Jesus on the cross...then we experience the emptiness of the tomb...to find in awestruck wonder...the presence of God..."He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being"

May the love, joy, and peace of Christ be yours this day...
