The Lord Answers

May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. Psalm 20:1

Sovereign God in you alone will we trust. You spoke and all that we know came into being. You know our comings and goings, our highs and lows, in you alone we will trust.

In your mercy Holy Lord, comfort your people. Let your Spirit reign in their hearts that they might have rest in their souls. Fill us afresh with your light and strengthen the bands of love that bind the path of the Christ-follower with the Advocate.

Bless O Lord this day and all those who silently suffer and persevere through life's trials. You who are in them is greater than the one in the world. The victory has been won; may the peace of our Lord Jesus guard their hearts and minds and paths. All honor and glory is yours Father, Son, Holy Spirit…
