Take Heart

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Psalm 23:1-3

No amount of trials or temptations will separate you from the presence of the Lord. So, how is it that we do find ourselves, or at least "feel" that God is distant? Any time, or every time, a person forgets to acknowledge that God, and only God, is the author and perfector, the One who holds and is the supernatural power, the eyes of our spiritual life become blurred and our vision marred by the circumstance.

Do you want to know the indescribable and incredible peace of the One who restores souls and makes beauty out of the mire?

Precious Lord, crucify in me every ounce of my being that would claim to be in control. I surrender all that I am, all that I have been, and all that I can be, to you.

My life is not my own. I am yours, broken yet healed, wanting yet restored, confused yet content. Your Spirit is my strength and guide into the fullness of Christ Jesus.

No person, thing, or circumstance will distract or detract my innermost being from being wholeheartedly yours this day. My past is forgiven, my future is secure, and this day, the present will be spent in humble adoration of the risen Lord, the King of kings - Jesus. In His name for the sake of love that is beyond all measure and ever present, I will remain.
