Surrendered and Secure

Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but my ears you have pierced, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require. Then I said, "Here I am, I have come – it is written about me in the scroll. I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart. Psalm 40:6-8

When all about you seems to be in a state of turmoil; kids are sick, the house looks like a tornado, work is filled with clamoring of "this has got to be done", "that was suppose to be done yesterday", television is dragging you into the quagmire of politically charged puppeteering, and the roads are filled with frenetic, wannabe race-car drivers...STOP!

Almighty and everlasting God, no amount of the world's ceaseless demands has the ability or power to move you or change you. You alone are God! In you, I will put my trust. The cares of the world will pass away, but you O Lord are everlasting.

Holy God, still my heart, center my mind, refresh my spirit - in you, with you, through you. Your peace is my mantel, your strength is my cloak, and your love is the very foundation of my soul.

In this day, precious Lord, in this very moment there is nothing, no thing, no person, no want, no need, no demand...nothing will separate me from you. You are mine and I am yours. May all the earth and every creature with ears to hear - I am a child of the Most High! In the name of Jesus, I offer this prayer and my life...
