Stand Firm

Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58

Oh boy! Do you ever find yourself in an unexpected turn of events, or place in your life? Wow, I didn't see this coming! 

Stand firm in the one thing that matters above all things. Stand firm in the one thing that has the power and strength to shape and inform every circumstance, whether it is for a day or several years.

Stand firm in your relationship with God. This, your relationship with God, is "the work of the Lord". As you grow in the knowledge and love of God, so too, you will grow in your ability to know and love others as Christ loves.

God knows all. God's grace is sufficient. And God has prepared, in advance, to give you all things necessary and needed - the Spirit of Christ is with you now - to grow you into all that Jesus taught his disciples. Love God and love others.

Holy God, I will only have eyes for your perfect will and love. Every situation and circumstance in my life will be under and informed by my relationship with Christ and your Spirit will be my unfailing guide. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
