Secure in Hope

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God is giving you. Romans 12:3

Heavenly Father, how precious is your love, how great are your works. In the face of each and every situation, in the presence of kings or the destitute, your hope is secure in the hearts of the faithful. Your grace makes possible our faith and our faith is nurtured through your Spirit.

We enter this day with every range of emotion, yet you are steadfast. We recite and write out long lists of tasks and chores, yet you are neither. You, Holy God, and only you, are perfect peace, love, and fulfillment - all else is to be measured in the light of Jesus.

If we open our mouths to utter one word, if we move to carry out one action, if we sow the seed of one thought, may it begin with you...
