Pure and Peaceful

The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness. James 3:17 –18

How many times O God have I failed. How many times O Lord have I been wise in the eyes of the world. Yet, in your mercy, through your love, you remind me that you are the God of the present and the hope of tomorrow. We praise you precious and holy God for who you are and what you have done!

Jesus, you alone hold the keys to the life of righteousness. Teach me in your Spirit to give up the futile and petty strivings of a disquieted heart that I might move more freely in your unfettered joy and peace.

Our yesterdays are but a spec in time somewhere between east and west, but the present moment in the heart of God is the loveliest taste of eternal bliss.

Into your hands almighty God we submit our lives, that we might live and know the love that purifies man's fragile souls...
