Path of Hope
Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Psalm 25: 4-5
One of the saddest sights is to see the inward and outward countenance of the "resigned" person in the face of adversity. Doubt, despondency, and fear - tools of the evil one, leave their mark.
Like everyone else, except One, who has walked this earth, I, too, have misplaced hopes at different times.
However, never, I say again, never, has hope in God, the Lord Jesus Christ ever failed or fallen short. Further, submitting to the very One who knew each of us before we were yet in our mother's wombs - will only inspire (in-Spirit) and strengthen the three core tenets of the Christian character:
FAITH - HOPE - LOVE
Faith, hope, and love cast out and stand in opposition to doubt, despondency, and fear.
Please pray with me:
Today, Holy God, I submit all that I am, all that I have been, and all that I can be, to you! Your grace is sufficient and I will be strengthened in the way, the truth, and the life of Christ. My thoughts, words, and actions will be seasoned and illumined by the salt and light of the living Savior that others may be touched by your Spirit. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
