Joy

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

Eternal God, from sunrise to sunset, from first-dark to first-light, your grace is sufficient. In birth and in death, you make your presence known and your hope is the crown of the faithful.

Bless this day that we might freely share in the love that you share with us. Keep us mindful of the needs of others, slow to anger, and ever ready to offer words of encouragement rather than criticism or condemnation.

Lord Jesus, fill each hour and our hearts with the joy of a life in you that we might be your salt and light - your will be done, nothing more, nothing less, and nothing else…
