Grace to Walk With Love

Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him. 1 John 2:9-11

Hatred and love, as used in this context, takes on the expression of our attitudes as lived out in our actions.

"Uh oh, there is work to be done - how many times have I have failed, must I fail before I can get it right?!"

It is ever so easy to fall into the trap of seeking to do what is right, what is good, "in our strength". Forget it! This is not possible, never has been, nor will be. Sure, it is a matter of "will" power.

Grace is the answer. The "work" and the "will", thankfully, is only made possible in, through, and with God. Grace is the answer. God's pardon, God's presence, God's power is available to all...Grace is the answer!

Today, I will surrender my "right - intellect and will" to Him...it promises to be a more peaceful day!
