God’s Will
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2
The world's glitz and glitter accompanied by false promises of comfort and security is hard to resist. But, if you've lived long enough you have seen the falsity that material wealth equates to joy and peace.
One the greatest investment of our time and energy, for us and our children and grandchildren, is the gift and art of prayer - not to build material wealth or to be found eloquent, but to sow seeds of faith and obedience that we might know the harvest of God - peace, love, and joy.
Please join with me in prayer.
Holy, holy, God, you are the giver of every good and perfect gift. We thank you for the gift of family and friends. Through your Spirit and the grace we know and have in Christ, prepare our eyes and ears to see and hear that our hearts and hands might respond to the needs of others.
Unify all disciples of Christ, in mind and spirit, that we might be part of your transforming grace in a world that is hungry for justice and thirsting for hope.
In the name of Jesus…
