Friends

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

Jesus called his disciples friends because of what He did for them, and made possible for them to do unto others. "I have called you friends, for everything that learned from my Father I have made known to you." And, "if you do what I command...love each other."

Ahhh, is it not so much easier and simpler to love those who are lovable? Only if OTHERS were more lovable the world would be a better place (smile). 

Although we know that Jesus' life, crucifixion, and resurrection is for ALL, his command is for YOU, his command is for ME.

Save yourself a ton of heartache and stop expecting of others what only Christ can do. That is, only Jesus Christ can be your Lord and Savior.

Just how personal do you take and make HIS command to love others?

Everlasting God, in your mercy, fill me with your Spirit, that I would be a living witness in the world, with others, of Christ living in me.
