Denial

Immediately the rooster crowed the second time. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken to him: "Before the rooster crows twice you will disown me three times." And he broke down and wept. Mark 14:72

Precious and loving God, you know our hearts, our thoughts better than we do. In your faithfulness you have not denied us even in those time or ways that we have denied you. 

Help us O Lord to grow in your perfect love that drives out all fear. You have taught us that where our treasure is, our hearts are there as well. Free us from the bondage of judgement and shame that we might more fully live by inspiring and building up others.

Your perfect peace abounds in the souls whose greatest desires rest in you. May it be so my Lord in my life today…
