Christ's Certainty
Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have. Luke 24:38-39
O Lord, crucify in me every thought-filled desire to be in control. In your Spirit I will testify, I will witness, and I will glorify our risen Lord. Doubts and fears will seek to find a place even in the lives of Christ-followers, but with every doubt, your power and assurance will claim the opportunity to reign.
Holy God, allow the work that you have begun in each of my brothers and sisters of faith to flourish with the everlasting fragrant fruit of the spirit that others would see your holiness in the flesh and proclaim - Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life!
May your peace and comfort, precious Lord, rest in and upon all those this day who mourn the loss of loved ones. May your wisdom take root and the joy of the servant Jesus fill each moment of those who toil in the seemingly uneventful and mundane and be reminded that all activity nurtured in Spirit has eternal promise and value - Christ is enough.
In His name, I pray that you accept and fulfill this prayer and the silent prayers of our hearts...
