Chosen

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit - fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. John 15:16

Are you done, yet? Have you reached the end of your rope? Are you sick and tired of waking up sick and tired? Good!

Take comfort and know that the One who chose you, the One who has called you, the one who has equipped you, and the One who has promised that you will never be alone or forsaken, is the author and perfector of your faith. He is your strength and assurance, here and now! Do not think for one minute, no, not one second, that you are suppose to do anything in your own power!

You are no longer your own, praise God! Now get up, sit down, or lay low, but do it with the confidence that you are a child of the Most High! You are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God! In this day, throughout this day, you are going to rise up, you will not faint nor grow weary! Whatever task may be at hand will faced in the light of resting in the assurance that Jesus the Christ is your peace, strength and assurance - praise God!

And so we do, O Lord. We will praise you in our coming and going, we will praise you in the stillness. Whatever, wherever, however, we might find ourselves, our hope is in you Jesus.

In the name of Jesus crush the snares and temptations of the evil one that so carefully and conveniently entangles the wandering hearts and minds of those who are seeking. In your grace, which is always sufficient, make known your life that they, too, may find and rest in the assurance of being gripped by the promise of Jesus Christ, "You did not choose me, I chose you!"

To this end we pray…
