Anger

My dear brothers, take note of this: everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. James 1:19-20

Sovereign God, crucify in me any and all self-righteousness that I may truly see others as you see them. Fill my soul with humble adoration of your peace-filled presence that the words from my mouth and the meditations of my heart would calm and heal the divisive moment in dialogue or deed.

Without you O Lord, I confess, what I ask is impossible. Hear my prayer Lord Jesus and, in your time, let your will be done in this life, that I might more fully be an offering of hope…
