Choose Jesus

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
John 1:1-5

Black lives matter, all lives matter, cops are corrupt, blacks are thugs, whites are racist, appliance salesmen lie, presidents cheat on their wives, pro athletes take drugs, teachers have favorites, parents neglect their children, children dishonor their parents...

All of which have an "element of validity". 

The purest and most holy truth that I might ever utter or think begins with one word - JESUS

It is almost a certainty that I am guilty of anything and everything that I have ever been accused of in life...whether in thought or deed. Are you?

Personally, I am tired of blame, criticism, and condemnation taking/using/capturing the "moment of time" and being the shadow, or outright darkness, "in the day".

Here is my confession of faith: I am guilty of sin, I have been found wanting, I have accepted the grace and forgiveness offered freely by God the Father, in God the Son, through God the Spirit. Jesus died for sin (yours, mine, everyone's), Jesus rose from the dead (no, I don't fully understand or am able to fully explain - part of the confession of faith, but, I will spend the rest of my life sharing it), Jesus will come again, there is heaven and hell, one is filled with light and the other, darkness (void of light). Jesus is Light, Jesus is Truth, Jesus is Word, Jesus is Hope, Jesus is Forgiveness, Jesus is Love.

Today, I choose JESUS. By the grace of God, I accept the honor and privilege to be a disciple of Christ.

Precious Lord, let your Spirit reign in me, that you, the Light of the World, would drive out all darkness in me and others. Because Christ lives, we too shall live....in Love…
