Waiting

Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him. You come to the help of those who gladly do right, who remember your ways. Isaiah 64:4-5a 

O Lord, come this day, to all those who wait on you. Come to those whose faith is faltering. Come Lord to those who wait in fear and destitution at the hands of their enemy - the enemy. Come holy God to those who long to find their eternal rest in you. Come Father to your children who simply long for the gentle word and reminder that they are beloved. Come Lord Jesus to those who wait for a new vision to be planted in their hearts. Come Holy Spirit to all those who, in boldness or with faintest whisper, cry out, "Lord, I need you!"
