Strength

"I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I will destroy. I will shepherd the flock with justice," declares the Lord. Ezekiel 34:16

Holy God, forgive us for all the times we seek and act from self-righteousness and self-will. Free us indeed from the pursuit of the worldly things. Strengthen us in the way of Christ through joy-filled obedience. 

Come, we pray, Holy Spirit. Refresh our minds and souls with the righteousness of Jesus Christ as we intentionally serve the least, last, and lost. Lord, we ask to see and hear through your eyes and ears that we might rest more fully in the redeeming grace of God. Jesus - you alone are our hope for today and the transformation of the world.
