Strength

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Psalm 73:26

Pretty much, daily, I'm reminded by various aches and pains like herniated and ruptured discs in the back, tendinitis and impingement in shoulders, yet another kidney stone, of the temporal nature of my own flesh and blood. Yet, like me, you've most likely modified routines, do certain exercises, and take the proper precautions and measures to maintain your body the best that you can.

How is it with your soul?

I'm still growing in the knowledge and understanding of what it means for "God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

I mean, I profess it with my mouth, but, honestly, there are still many times when I'm not living it out in my everyday life.

Here is what I do know. I need God's grace everyday, every hour. God's grace is not only unearned favor, it is God's power, it is God's presence. And, I believe, God is always enough.

Wherever you might find yourself, whatever the situation, turn and draw strength from the eternal and everlasting God whose promise is, "I will never leave nor forsake you."

God's strength is real and, really, it is sufficient. Know God, know peace - thank you Jesus.
