Light of Life

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12

Holy God, even when I am confronted by the trials and stress of the world, you are still God. Your goodness and mercy strengthens the poor in spirit and your love binds the broken-hearted.

You, O God, overcome and chase away the darkness as your presence is made known in the lives of the faithful. No sin or evil who hide in the darkness will be left standing in the light of Christ. We praise you Lord Jesus knowing that you are perfect love and in your love you call us by name to find and be at peace in you.

Come Holy Spirit, fill us, embolden our walk in Christ this day that our countenances and our speech will radiate the truth, the hope, and the love of persons who bask in the Light, knowing, in faith, the best is yet to be....
