Holy Waiting

I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:13-14

Waiting for the Lord is not a place or point of inactivity. No, it is a time, not unlike any other - filled with thoughts and actions. 

In grace, your thoughts and actions become vessels of change for the good - make a difference today.

Holy God, author and perfecter of our faith, we honor you this day through word and deed. You love us so well through the saints that have gone before, the saints who walk with us, and the saints who quietly and consistently encourage from behind.

Strengthen, comfort, and uphold the broken-hearted this day. Let their mourning become your mantle of glory that all the world will see the risen Lord and hold fast to the everlasting hope of the Holy Spirit in Christ.
